I am a big fan of a Datalayer most are not deployed correctly to provide the right insights. The Datalayer should play a key role in the data strategy where you are applying business objectives and KPI’s to en-rich the data set. In addition the Datalayer provides a layer of data governance which is critical in the current world of how data is collected and shared. To get the most out of the Datalayer it requires someone with a deep understanding of the business, technical and data specialist so that it can be mapped out with right business requirements to deployment and generating the right insights.
